Technical Applications Development Group Manager

• Design and Architect technical solutions across various programs and bring standardized approach
• bring in latest technology and design principles to increase efficiency and produce better output to align with strategic vision
• manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team
• provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management, and planning while monitoring end results
• utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
• ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
• integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
• provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations
• influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
• appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
• drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
• supervise the activity of others and create accountability.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Software Development, Architect or a related technical field
• proven experience leading and managing engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management
• expert familiarity with the Software Development lifecycle (SDLC) and general technical concepts, sufficient to effectively manage technical teams and understand their challenges, with direct hands-on technical expertise
• strong technical background, including hands-on experience and architectural understanding in several of the following areas: System Design & Architecture, Cloud Platforms, Programming Languages (e.g., Java and/or Python), Microservices Architecture, DevOps Practices, Database Technologies
• experience in designing, developing, and deploying complex application systems
• demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• experience managing global technology teams, navigating cultural differences and distributed workforces
• working knowledge of industry best practices and standards in software development and team leadership
• consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication, particularly in technical discussions and team leadership
• ability to drive technical strategy and foster innovation within the development teams.
