Job Description

We are seeking a technically strong Technical Application Support Specialist to support and enhance critical invoicing, reporting, and enterprise business systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on IT professional with strong SQL expertise, server support experience, scripting knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot complex business applications. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting enterprise platforms such as AS400/iSeries environments, ACOM, Inspire, JD Edwards (JDE), and related reporting and document management tools. This individual will work closely with internal business users and IT leadership to improve workflows, support automation initiatives, optimize reporting capabilities, and maintain day-to-day operational stability across multiple systems. This is a highly visible role supporting a lean team environment where initiative, independent problem-solving, accountability, and technical versatility are critical for success. Job Responsibility

  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for invoicing, reporting, and enterprise business systems
  • Develop, write, modify, and optimize SQL queries for reporting, data extraction, troubleshooting, and operational support
  • Create and maintain reports using Showcase Query, Report Writer, and SQL-based reporting tools
  • Support ACOM SQL integrations and form overlay processes for invoicing and document generation
  • Administer and support AS400 / iSeries environments and related enterprise applications
  • Support and maintain Inspire web tools and document output solutions, including invoice and check generation processes
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PVE imaging and PDF management systems
  • Assist with server-related support activities, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational maintenance
  • Write and maintain batch scripts, PowerShell scripts, and Java-based utilities to automate operational and reporting processes
  • Collaborate with internal business units to improve workflow efficiency and reporting accuracy
  • Troubleshoot production issues, resolve support tickets, and document technical solutions and processes
  • Support JD Edwards (JDE) applications and integrations as needed
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and help modernize legacy workflows and reporting functionality

Requirements

  • Strong SQL experience, including writing complex queries, joins, stored procedures, reporting, and data analysis
  • Experience with Showcase Query and/or Report Writer reporting tools
  • Hands-on experience supporting AS400 / iSeries environments
  • Experience with batch scripting, PowerShell, and Java scripting/utilities
  • Experience supporting enterprise invoicing and document management systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across applications, reporting, and server environments
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies, troubleshoot issues, and proactively figure things out
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean environment with shifting priorities and high visibility
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical users
