We are seeking a Technical Analyst to join our Enterprise Architecture team, working across ITV’s technology landscape to map, analyse and communicate logical architectures, service boundaries and workflows. In this role, you will work closely with the wider architecture community and technology teams to support the design of new and existing systems. You’ll help ensure solutions align with organisational standards and architecture principles, while creating artefacts that can be clearly understood by both technical and business stakeholders. You will also play a key role in identifying and modelling Intelligent Automation opportunities across enterprise workflows. This includes analysing current and target state processes, identifying manual handoffs, dependencies and control points, and supporting the design of scalable, secure and maintainable automation solutions aligned to enterprise architecture principles.
Job Responsibility:
Work with the Enterprise Architecture team and wider architecture groups to map and document logical architectures, service boundaries and workflows
Liaise with divisional technical design groups to ensure proposed designs align with organisational standards, guidelines and architectural principles
Support the design, development, integration and testing of systems, considering reusability, maintainability, security, efficiency and reliability
Collaborate on high-level and detailed solution designs using C4 and other modelling approaches where appropriate
Review system designs and recommend improvements based on defined principles and standards
Take a leading role in defining and maintaining a group-wide Business Capability model, including modelling relationships between capabilities, applications and organisational structures
Document current ("as-is") and future ("target state") views in a way that is accessible to both business and technical audiences
Identify gaps, dependencies and opportunities for improvement across domains using a service-led approach
Work closely with Technology Leads to maintain up-to-date views of the technology landscape and support regular review cycles
Contribute to value chain mapping and other artefacts that support strategic decision-making
Identify and analyse opportunities to improve workflows through orchestration, automation and Intelligent Automation practices
Map current and future workflows, highlighting manual steps, handoffs, dependencies, decision points and exception paths
Support the design and documentation of automation patterns, including business process automation, system orchestration and AI-assisted workflows
Help assess feasibility and implementation considerations such as integration, data quality, monitoring, resilience, security and governance
Contribute to enterprise principles, reference patterns and best practices for workflow automation across ITV
Work closely with architects, technology leads and stakeholders across ITV to support architectural decisions and future-state direction
Communicate complex technical and workflow concepts clearly to a range of audiences
Contribute to ongoing improvements in architecture practices, artefacts and ways of working
Requirements:
Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and translate high-level requirements into clear designs, models and solution options
Strong experience in enterprise architecture modelling and documentation, using C4 or similar modelling approaches
Experience working with technology teams and software solution design, with a solid understanding of systems and interfaces
Ability to capture, document and communicate complex technical and workflow concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Understanding of workflow design, process analysis and implementation considerations for automation or Intelligent Automation in enterprise environments
Nice to have:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think both strategically and laterally
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, structuring complex workflows, operating models and architectural challenges into clear outputs
Knowledge of a broad range of software development methodologies, tools and current technology trends
Understanding of service design principles and how they can be applied to create value for customers and employees
Experience identifying or supporting opportunities for workflow improvement, orchestration, automation or AI-enabled processes, with an awareness of governance, control and operational considerations
