Job Description:

Susquehanna is looking for a Technical Project Manager and Business Analyst to join our Tech AI team in our Sydney office. In this role, you’ll partner with stakeholders across our businesses to drive projects that enhance operational efficiency and modernize our systems with cutting-edge generative AI technologies. This is an opportunity to combine your strong organisational skills, communication abilities, and project management expertise with exposure to innovative technologies shaping the future of corporate operations. As part of a small, but growing team in a new space you will be fundamental in establishing how AI is adopted across the firm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and our technology team to ensure alignment, clarity, and shared ownership of Tech AI projects
  • Lead end-to-end project execution: creating plans, managing timelines, defining milestones, and keeping the team and stakeholders on track
  • Gather and document requirements using interviews and design sessions translating business needs into technically viable AI and Machine Learning solutions and actionable plans
  • Collaborate with the rest of the project management team and Tech AI developers to identify and recommend process improvements that streamline operations within the Tech AI team and beyond
  • Work closely with Learning & Development and Marketing on firm outreach, raising awareness of tools and services through online resources, educational seminars, and events
  • Manage third-party solution pilots and implementations
  • Communicate progress, risks, and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work closely with Tech AI leadership and other areas of the firm

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, or systems analysis with hands on experience implementing AI and Machine Learning tooling and methodologies, including designing and applying AI solutions
  • Knowledge of AI concepts and their potential business applications (e.g., GPT workflows, RAG architecture, agent-based processes)
  • Self-starter with proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and balancing competing priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
  • Experience with SDLC models and comfort working on both technical and non-technical projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with data integration, vendor feeds, or enterprise applications
  • Experience with SQL or data analysis tools
What we offer:
  • Real Impact: You’ll be designing and optimizing systems that process massive amounts of data, ensuring high performance and stability
  • Collaboration: Our systems engineers, network architects, technical analysts and software developers work together to create competitive edge through best-in-class technical solutions
  • Growth: For many of our roles, we don’t expect you to have prior industry experience in proprietary trading or financial services to succeed at Susquehanna. We’re looking for people who are naturally curious, relentless problem solvers, and have the desire to continuously innovate, learn, and grow
  • Susquehanna offers a wide array of competitive employee perks & benefits
