Job Description:

Our client, a Fortune 200 organization consistently recognized as a top place to work, is seeking a Technical Accounting Supervisor to join its high-performing accounting policy and external reporting team. This role will serve as a key technical accounting resource, supporting complex accounting matters, new pronouncement implementation, and external reporting requirements. The position offers strong exposure to senior leadership and the ability to influence critical accounting decisions across the enterprise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead research, interpretation, and implementation of new accounting standards (U.S. GAAP)
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and business initiatives
  • Prepare and review technical accounting memos and whitepapers
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive consistent accounting policies and best practices
  • Support preparation and review of external filings (10-K, 10-Q, and other regulatory reports)
  • Collaborate with external auditors on technical accounting matters
  • Identify and implement process improvements across accounting and reporting functions
  • Mentor and guide team members, acting as a subject matter expert

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience with complex accounting topics (e.g., ASC 815, ASC 810)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
