This role will serve as a key technical resource within a sophisticated finance team, owning complex accounting matters, SEC reporting, and policy development as the business continues to scale. This position is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys researching accounting guidance, collaborating cross‑functionally, and working close to transactions, without the pace or unpredictability of public accounting or deal advisory.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the primary resource for US GAAP technical accounting matters, including research, whitepapers, and policy development
Evaluate and document accounting treatment for new transactions, investments, financings, and capital markets activity
Maintain and update the organization’s accounting policies and procedures
Monitor new accounting standards and assess impact on the organization
Own preparation and review of SEC filings (10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, footnotes, disclosures)
Coordinate closely with external auditors and advisors throughout quarterly and annual reporting cycles
Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, disclosure requirements, and internal controls
Support earnings materials and audit committee‑level financial reporting as needed
Act as a subject‑matter expert and mentor to senior‑level accounting staff
Identify opportunities to improve documentation, controls, and reporting efficiency
Support a growing organization that values rigor, clarity, and scalability
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s a plus)
7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong background in technical accounting and SEC reporting
Experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) highly preferred
CPA strongly preferred
Exposure to complex areas such as: Investments and long‑term assets
Debt and equity instruments
Fair value, consolidation, or structured arrangements
Ability to translate technical guidance into clear, practical conclusions
