Our Finance Department at our HQ in Antwerp is looking for a new colleague to further strengthen our Accounts Payable team. This new role is pivotable to support Manuchars growth and the Finance function. As Teamlead Accounts Payable, you will be the A/P process owners including a leading role in the upcoming A/P Workflow optimization project. This role is situated on the crossroad between Finance, Accounting, the A/P team and the business teams it supports. As a Team Lead you will manage a team of 6 accountants including supporting them in their growth. You play a key role in driving efficiency, safeguarding internal controls, and ensuring smooth collaboration across departments.
Job Responsibility
Lead, coach and support a team of six A/P accountants
Oversee daily A/P processing and ensure timely, accurate results
Organize and prioritize the transactional workload
identify and resolve operational issues
Take the lead in the rollout of A/P workflow automation, ensuring proper implementation, adoption and continuous optimization
Drive standardization and process improvements and maintain SOPs
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and audit requirements
Act as the key liaison with Inside Sales, Treasury, IT and Accounting peers
Requirements
Min. bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent) with min. 3 years of experience as a people leader in a transactional accounting environment
Proven experience in process improvement, ideally within a shared services or multinational context
Fluent in English and Dutch
Strong stakeholder management skills and a clear, engaging communication style
Understanding of VAT principles
Accountable, structured, accurate, customer-centric and solution-oriented
Nice to have
Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP and Power BI is a plus
