As a Reception Team Member, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring exceptional service from check-in to check-out. You’ll manage bookings, answer inquiries, and assist guests with local recommendations, all while contributing to the hostel’s welcoming atmosphere. Collaboration with other departments is key, as is maintaining a clean, organized reception area. This role requires flexibility, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a dynamic and supportive environment with opportunities for growth.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome and assist guests with check-in and check-out processes
Handle reservations, payments, and room access
Address inquiries and offer recommendations
Manage online and walk-in bookings, cancellations, and modifications using the booking system
Ensure guest records are accurate
Process payments securely via cash, credit card, and other methods
Respond promptly to emails, phone calls, and social media inquiries
Professionally handle guest complaints or issues
Work with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for new arrivals
Assist in organizing and promoting hostel events and social gatherings
Monitor guest access and ensure safety protocols are followed
Be prepared for emergencies and respond according to procedures
Requirements:
Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude
Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities
Problem-solving skills to resolve guest concerns professionally
Tech-savvy, proficient with booking systems and online platforms
Well-organized with good time management
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Ability to stand for extended periods
Occasionally lift or carry items weighing 10–30 pounds (5–15 kg)
Ability to handle a fast-paced and noisy environment
Flexibility for irregular shifts, including nights and weekends
Strong emotional resilience and stress management skills
Have the right to work in the country of employment
Provide all necessary documentation as required by local laws
Maintain an active bank account in your name
