Job Description:

Big Sky Resort is seeking a Caretaker to join our Team Member Housing Team. The caretaker position is responsible for general upkeep at Big Sky Resort's local Employee Housing properties, including 800 Employee Housing beds across 4 campus locations. Caretakers are responsible for performing general custodial duties, and basic maintenance and administrative tasks. This is a Full-Time Year-Round benefited position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform custodial duties, including minor maintenance and housekeeping duties
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties (changing light bulbs, smoke alarm/tv remote batteries etc)
  • Assist with room inspections
  • Assist with work orders
  • Distribution of Team Member Housing paperwork, notices, and other forms of resident communications
  • Daily upkeep and cleaning of public areas and shared spaces (bathrooms, kitchens, gym, and open areas)
  • Performing snow removal through winter months (shovels, snowblowers, and ice chipper usage)
  • Assist with hotel turnovers and furniture moves
  • Maintain up to date Housekeeping and Maintenance records in StarRez
  • Reporting and addressing resident conduct issues within Team Member Housing to the Housing Manager
  • Assisting the Housing Office with other housekeeping, maintenance, and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Computer literacy essential
  • Experience in StarRez preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of small power equipment and power hand tools.
