Job Responsibility

  • To be responsible for the management and delivery of Placement Services: placement services comprise Through-care & Aftercare, Fostering, Adoption, Kinship Care, Supported Lodgings and Continuing Care
  • To supervise, evaluate and be responsible for the quality and effectiveness of services provided through Placement Services working to national or agreed service standards
  • Provide line management supervision to the senior social workers
  • To manage the continuous improvement of services provided by Placement Services
  • To assess practice, personal development and personnel needs for staff working within Placement Services and be responsible for realising agreed staff development priorities
  • To ensure the provision of day to day advice, guidance and assistance to colleagues
  • To assist in the operational and strategic development of child care and Placement Services, managerial and professional practice as a member of the first-line management team
  • To undertake additional countywide/national child care Placement Services tasks and developmental projects

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • SSSC registered in the Social Work part of the register
  • Considerable post qualifying experience in placement services, childcare area team / equivalent setting
  • Previous supervisory/ management responsibilities
  • Experience of multiagency working
  • Experience of Inspections
  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating services
  • Experience of budget management
  • Project and/ or service development
  • Provision of staff training and development
  • Children services

  • Deliver role-based training to customer drone teams, public safety operators, command staff, and IT teams. Tailor delivery to non-technical and highly technical audiences
  • Guide customers in creating operational policies and workflows that integrate Dedrone systems with broader agency technology stacks, including Axon Evidence, body-worn cameras, and in-car video systems
  • Coordinate and manage third-party training and integration vendors, ensuring accountability and delivery quality
  • Conduct site assessments to inform hardware placement and operational design
  • Build, iterate, and maintain deployment documentation, SOP templates, training plans, and internal handoffs
  • Provide post-deployment monitoring and escalation, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on success metrics, issues, and resolutions
  • Capture and relay customer feature requests, bug reports, or process gaps to Product and Engineering teams
  • Attend strategic customer meetings with Sales to provide technical validation and deployment context
  • Lead or assist in POCs, including setup, training, validation of success criteria, and customer debriefs
