As a Conciliation Team Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Conciliation Officers and Dispute Officers, to deliver high quality, timely and accessible conciliation services and support the fair, informal and cost-effective resolution of worker's compensation disputes. You will play a vital role in supporting WIC to help injured workers and employers overcome some of the most challenging times of their lives.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and develop a team of Conciliation Officers and Dispute Officers, to deliver high quality, timely and accessible conciliation services and support the fair, informal and cost-effective resolution of worker's compensation disputes in accordance with the objectives and requirements of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (Vic) 2013
Oversee service and quality standards and actively promote a constructive, accountable and learning culture
Proactively driving continuous improvements that enhance the experience of injured workers and other parties to disputes, as well as our stakeholders more broadly
Have an impact on the delivery of WIC's organisational strategy as an active leader and steward of our culture.
Requirements:
Experience leading a high performing team of specialists through building trust and belonging, shared purpose and goals, coaching and empowering and managing accountability
Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices of alternative dispute resolution and experience applying policy and procedure, and interpreting legislation within a dispute resolution jurisdiction or framework
Leadership capability to coach for growth, create clarity, build connection and lead in context to develop and sustain individual and team high performance to achieve operational and strategic objectives
Qualification or significant relevant experience in at least one of the following: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Law, Psychology, Occupational Health and Safety, Social Science
Proven success identifying continuous improvements and leading initiatives to improve operating efficiencies, productivity, quality, customer service or people experience.
