Job Description:

As a Carpentry Team Manager, you will lead the delivery of responsive carpentry repairs across the Council’s housing stock, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll manage a large, mobile team of skilled carpentry operatives and work closely with contractors to meet service level agreements and landlord obligations. Using your technical carpentry expertise, you will oversee complex repairs, provide professional guidance to operatives, and ensure quality, compliance and right first time outcomes. You’ll play a key role in driving service improvements, monitoring performance, and managing change as part of an evolving repairs service. The role involves balancing internal and external resources, overseeing scheduling systems, controlling costs and ensuring excellent value for money, while keeping the customer experience at the heart of everything you do.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing a mobile workforce in a repairs or maintenance environment

  • A proactive, improvement focused mindset with the confidence to lead change

Nice to have:
