Job Description:

An exciting opportunity for a Team Manager within Warrington's Adult Community Social Work, West Locality Team. The team provides an assessment & care management service working with adults in the community living with a range of long-term and complex health and social care needs including adults living with dementia, older people with significant hearing/visual impairments, frailty, substance misuse, and other debilitating health conditions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and support social worker practitioners to deliver a safe and effective service
  • Performance reporting

  • Complaint investigations

  • Supervisions and mentoring
  • Work within the legislation of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007) and Human Rights Act 1998
  • Support team to deliver personalised assessment, support planning and reviews
  • Safeguarding enquiries
  • Court of protection work

Requirements:

  • Applicants must meet the essential criteria set out in the person specification
  • Must hold a current active registration with Social Work England
  • Must have a full UK driving licence
  • The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential
  • DBS clearance is required
