Job Responsibility:
Assessing work / instructions received from Management
Planning, organising, delegating work and managing resources to workload
Liaising with Management to ensure the team has the necessary resources to achieve deadlines
Monitoring progress of work
Ensuring Safe Working Procedures are followed always by the team & maintaining high levels of health and safety
Identifying training needs for both new and existing staff
Providing feedback to the team
Assuming responsibility for quality of work & rectifying snags
Ensuring a clean and tidy work area is maintained
To assemble electrical control panels/switchgear accurately and on time
Understand and interpret electrical schematics in line with specification requirements for LV Switchgear and Control Systems
Understanding the correct use of fixings for different aspects of the works
Liaise with Production Manager regarding overtime cover and authorising holidays
Holding Daily ‘Toolbox’ talks with team members
Requirements:
Ability to work under pressure, lead by example and work as team or individually
Apprentice or time-served in an electrical discipline would be highly desired, such as installations or panel wiring or an electrical qualification
Able to understand drawings and predict possible assembly or quality issues
Reliable and trustworthy with a meticulous & positive approach to work
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide range of people, contractors, Customers and Auditors
Ability to work to and maintain deadlines with a results driven approach
Familiar with mechanical assembly of devices and copper busbar systems
Competent with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint & Word
Nice to have:
Experience in building and testing Switchgear would be an advantage
