Job Description:

Support Worker *Female Only. A home, not just a service. Seven Rivers is set in seven acres of beautiful grounds in the small village of Great Bromley. Home for 29 adults with physical disabilities, we’re a short walk from pubs, shops and a garden centre. Clacton, Harwich, Ipswich and Colchester are all nearby, so there’s plenty to enjoy – especially the seaside. Your working hours: This is a full-time role, with flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota. You’ll also take part in our on-call system to ensure the smooth running of the service. Typical shifts may include: Night shifts: [e.g. 7:30pm - 8am]; On-call duties as part of the rota. We’ll work with you to agree a pattern that suits the needs of the service and you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care
  • Organise rotas and ensure the right staffing levels at all times
  • Support with training, development, and supervision of staff
  • Work alongside customers to achieve their goals and promote independence
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
  • Step in to provide hands-on care and administer medication when needed

Requirements:

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a care setting
  • A relevant qualification (NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent)
  • Good communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • A warm, supportive, and motivating approach to working with others
  • Willingness to work flexibly and take part in the on-call rota
