The Team Leader role is responsible for the Health & Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, including time management responsibility and performance and development of their direct reports. The Team Leader should act as a role model in line with our core behaviours and strive towards a team culture based upon clear measurable objectives and maximisation of team engagement through co-ordinated activities. This position is part of the Drug Delivery team located in Newquay and will be based fully on site.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure compliance with local Environmental and Health & Safety procedures and report all potential safety issues through the relevant channels
Review labour allocation daily, ensuring that only trained associates are used during production
Monitor production performance through ‘Hourly Scorecard’ review, providing feedback and taking action to achieve target
Responsibility for all aspects of people management in your team
including confidentiality in line with GDPR guidelines, planned and unplanned absence management, biannual appraisals and escalation where relevant to the appropriate person
Responsible for conducting Shift start-up Meetings with associates and arranging cover for the days they will be on planned absence
Ensuring that all associates in their care have development plans in place and are working towards standard training for their respective roles
Requirements:
Enthusiastic leader with experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
DBS / Continuous improvement mindset
Effective communicator at all levels
Possesses experience in motivating and growing teams
Nice to have:
Previous experience working in a medical or pharmaceutical facility
If you have or are willing to work towards NEBOSH certificate
