Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within the Council’s Refuse and Recycling Collection Service for the recruitment of 3 x Waste Collection Team Leaders based at Woolston Depot. We are committed to delivering a high-quality service to our residents and are looking for flexible and enthusiastic team members to work with us to achieve our aims.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver high-quality service
  • work across domestic, recyclable, food and green waste collections
  • flexible work across range of services

Requirements

  • Valid, clean category C class licence
  • Driver's Certificate of Professional Competence qualification card
  • Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

  • Take responsibility for Resident care, as designated by the Home Manager in his / her absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager
  • Assess social and health care needs of new Residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other Residents
  • Report any ill-health amongst Residents and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary
  • Ensure meals are of sufficient quantity and good quality, and that Resident’s dietary needs are met
  • Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Resident within the Home has an individualised Care Plan. Resident Care Plans to be reviewed on a bi-annual basis, or more frequently as and when required, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Residents’ personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship that exists with Residents
