Job Description:

House Leader/ Team Leader for a 5-bed group living service based in Leeds, LS7, supporting young people in a stable, low-risk environment with no challenging behaviour. This service supports young people aged 16-25 (typically up to 18 unless additional needs are identified), many of whom are care leavers transitioning from residential care, other group living settings, or family breakdown. The focus is on supporting young people to manage their emotional needs, engage in education (with many attending college), and develop the skills required for independent living.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading and motivating a team supporting young people within a group living setting
  • Overseeing and reviewing support plans for young people and care leavers
  • Ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding for all young people
  • Deputising for the Service Manager when required
  • Working closely with external professionals to achieve positive outcomes for young people
  • Participating in the on-call rota (additional pay applied)

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting young people, particularly care leavers, in a group living or supported accommodation setting
  • Confidence managing behaviours that challenge
  • Strong leadership skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Passion for improving outcomes for young people and care leavers
