Job Description:

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the performance, reliability and future planning of our wastewater and stormwater pump operations. It’s about setting clear direction, creating structure, and ensuring the systems our community relies on are consistently safe, compliant and performing at their best. At its core, this role is about people. You’ll bring strong, grounded leadership someone who knows how to set expectations, have clear conversations, and support a team to perform with confidence. Alongside this, you’ll drive a shift from reactive response to proactive, well-planned operations, using insight and experience to guide smarter decisions for both day-to-day delivery and long-term asset performance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of pump stations and associated networks

  • Provide leadership and expert-level support to key stakeholders in the development of standards and solutions for fire prevention and emergency response in compliance with regulatory (OSHA and other) and best practice standards (ANSI, NFPA, ACGIH, etc.), support the management of existing safety-related policies, programs and procedures, and if required, represent facility in various Corporate Safety Best Practice Groups to implement best practices across the business
  • Collaborate directly with site Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) to lead the day-to-day operations and systems of emergency response teams, including Evacuation Wardens, Emergency Action Response Team (HEART) and chemical spill response (as needed) and appropriate messaging
  • this includes timely training and development of training, maintaining certifications, leading team meetings and maintaining effective team structures to support the teams and overall facility emergency response organization
  • Act as a leader in guiding and coordinating required evacuation / take shelter drills with customer site contacts
  • Work with the Crisis Management Team (CMT) leaders at the appropriate facilities to conduct CMT meetings and table-top exercises. This role will serve as the primary back up for CMT activations
  • EMC Work Instruction, training, and documentation management for all EMC-related documentation, develop and deliver emergency response, crisis management, and other safety-related training
  • Provide CPR / AED / First Aid training for customer locations
  • Administer Emergency Alert system for employee management and message communication
  • Complete site surveys to review adherence to manual and practices
