Job Description:

This role is pivotal in providing exceptional care and support to service users with mental health diagnoses. As a Team Leader, you'll guide and mentor a team of dedicated support workers, ensuring person-centered care is at the forefront of everything we do. You'll work closely with the Registered Manager to implement care plans, facilitate meaningful activities, and create a positive and supportive environment for our service users.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to a team of care workers
  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, and mental health professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Oversee medication administration in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for service users and staff
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of service provision
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health care

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses
  • Demonstrate reasonable knowledge of regulatory standards for residential care
  • You will have a QCF in Health & Social Care Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it
  • Medication management training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Compassionate and person-centered approach to care
  • Commitment to promoting recovery and well-being

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a care setting
  • Knowledge of specific mental health conditions, legislation and best practice
