This role is pivotal in providing exceptional care and support to service users with mental health diagnoses. As a Team Leader, you'll guide and mentor a team of dedicated support workers, ensuring person-centered care is at the forefront of everything we do. You'll work closely with the Registered Manager to implement care plans, facilitate meaningful activities, and create a positive and supportive environment for our service users.
Job Responsibility:
Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to a team of care workers
Work collaboratively with service users, families, and mental health professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Oversee medication administration in accordance with policies and procedures
Maintain a safe and clean environment for service users and staff
Communicate effectively with service users, families, staff, and external stakeholders
Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of service provision
Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health care
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses
Demonstrate reasonable knowledge of regulatory standards for residential care
You will have a QCF in Health & Social Care Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it
Medication management training
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Compassionate and person-centered approach to care
Commitment to promoting recovery and well-being
Nice to have:
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a care setting
Knowledge of specific mental health conditions, legislation and best practice
Training in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques
