We are looking for committed and detail-focused Team Leaders to join our new specialist high risk domestic abuse service. As a new service, we have 2 x Team Leader positions available.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure excellent service delivery in accordance with service specification and performance targets
Support operational staff to deliver high quality, risk led and tailored support
Focus on performance management of team members including allocation and auditing of cases
Complete case audits, reviews and review data to ensure oversight of teams
Capture data and evidence around the outcomes of the service
Allocate work across the wider team - analysing data to monitor patterns, trends and comparing these to resources
Be a designated safeguarding officer, making defensible decisions on safeguarding matters
Provide guidance and support to staff on safeguarding
Work with Operations Manager to ensure excellent service delivery and address performance issues
Line management of team members including recruitment, training, performance management, and implementing policies
Promote effective communication channels including coordinating team meetings and sharing feedback
Represent the service and victims at external events
Requirements:
Hold an approved and accredited IDVA qualification
Ideally have previous line management experience
Strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and its impact on victims
Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service delivery
Demonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations
Excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing demands
Ability to gather, analyse and use information and evidence from different sources
Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and other legal requirements
Good IT skills including experience with bespoke case management systems and Microsoft Office Packages, specifically Excel
Driving license and access to a vehicle (essential requirement, disability adjustments considered)
