This is a unique opportunity combining mentoring and coaching abilities with meaningful disability employment support. Based at specialist host site Cook Medical Australia located in Eight Mile Plains, you will coach, lead and supervise a small team of our supported persons with disabilities to build workplace skills, confidence and independence while achieving their NDIS employment goals. In this role we are seeking an Employment Coach that will be a team leader working in a cleanroom-style medical packaging environment. You will be overseeing and guiding the team that performs quality control and packaging tasks for critical medical components used in heart stints and IVF-related equipment. This role will be supervising and giving verbal instructions to the employees with positive words and encouragement. With empathy and leadership, you’ll create a safe, inclusive, and productive environment where everyone can thrive. You will be required to wear full PPE medical grade suit including a mask, hairnets, gloves and no makeup/perfume. Our team of 2 supported employees are experienced in this role and are needing an inclusive team leader to motivate, mentor and coach day to day to help them keep up with the demands and quotas to fill. This role is 4 days per week Monday to Thursday 18 hours per week 8.00am to 2.30/3.30pm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Strong verbal communication to give clear instructions and motivation
  • Perform and teach clean room protocols, ensuring all safety, hygiene, and PPE requirements are met in line with training standards provided
  • Guide and support people with disability to meet packaging and quality standards while achieving their individual NDIS goals
  • Work collaboratively with another Team Leader and the host site to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
  • Be a proactive problem solver, capable of leading without other management onsite from endeavour foundation
  • Foster a workplace culture that is inclusive, respectful, and focused on ability and achievement

Requirements:

  • Background in disability support or open employment coaching is highly valued but not essential
  • A genuine passion for inclusion, purpose-driven work, and empathetic leadership
  • Physical fitness to be on feet all day
  • Comfortable to wear a face mask and other PPE all day
  • Willingness to obtain required checks: Blue Card, Yellow Card, National Criminal History Check, and a valid Driver’s License
