Job Description:

Team Leader – Corporate Reporting. This role combines technical depth with strategic influence — ensuring robust statutory reporting, financial integrity, and strong business partnering across the organisation. Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the Corporate Reporting function
  • Ensure robust statutory reporting, financial integrity, and strong business partnering across the organisation
  • Work closely with Executive leadership and elected members, shaping long-term financial strategy and governance outcomes
  • Lead delivery of Long Term Plans, Annual Reports, infrastructure financial planning, and external audit processes
  • Manage and develop a capable finance team while strengthening financial capability across the wider organisation

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ experience across financial and management reporting
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring finance professionals
  • Strong statutory reporting and external audit management experience
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards and legislative frameworks
  • Confident stakeholder engagement skills, including at senior leadership level

Nice to have:

  • Local government or wider public sector experience
  • Exposure to infrastructure accounting and asset management frameworks
  • Experience contributing to multi-year financial strategies (e.g. Long Term Plans)
  • Track record of strengthening internal controls and driving process improvement
  • Understanding of public sector governance environments
