Job Description:

In this role, you lead a team of specialists responsible for developing and improving supplier performance in Site Operations. You contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient site execution by ensuring strong operational leadership and structured supplier collaboration. The position is preferably based in Hamburg and includes regular travel to suppliers and construction sites.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide operational and disciplinary leadership to specialists responsible for supplier development and performance in Site Operations
  • Align short- and mid-term objectives with management and translate them into clear targets for the team
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to ensure consistent performance, engagement, and professional growth
  • Collaborate closely with internal functions and external suppliers to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Analyze supplier performance scorecards, ensure target achievement, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that strengthen supplier performance and long-term relationships

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading a team of specialists, ideally in operations, supplier management, or a comparable environment
  • Degree in business administration or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
  • Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment, acting as a role model for safe and responsible working practices
  • Very good Microsoft Office skills, including SharePoint and PowerBI, or comparable reporting and collaboration tools
  • Good command of German and English, written and spoken, at least CEFR level B2
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style, with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
