Team Leader - Learning Disabilities Supported Living Services Shildon, County Durham, DL4 £13.65 per hour (£28,392 per annum) 40 hours per week - Days Only £500 Joining Bonus Are you an experienced Team Leader or an ambitious Senior Support Worker ready to step up into a Team Leader role within Learning Disabilities services in Shildon? We are working with a well-established provider of supported living and outreach services in Shildon, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader in Learning Disabilities who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. At the heart of this service in Shildon is a commitment to empowering individuals with learning disabilities to live independent, fulfilling lives. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in leading this mission forward. About You You may already be a Team Leader, or a confident Senior Support Worker in Learning Disabilities looking to progress into a Team Leader role in Shildon. You will bring: Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs A Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team within a Learning Disabilities setting A compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and person-centred approach A genuine passion for progressing your career as a Team Leader in Shildon The Team Leader Role As a Team Leader in this Shildon-based Learning Disabilities service, you will work closely with senior management to deliver outstanding care and drive service quality. You will: Lead, support, and inspire staff across supported living services in Shildon Ensure high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with learning disabilities Drive positive outcomes for people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs Oversee care plans, compliance, and quality assurance processes Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and internal teams Act as a role model Team Leader, promoting best practice across the service This is more than just a Team Leader role - it's an opportunity to shape and influence Learning Disabilities services in Shildon and make a genuine difference every day.

  • Be an effective and strong leader with the passion and commitment to making a difference
  • Have experience of dealing with support plans and risk assessments and have up to date knowledge of CQC guidelines
