Job Description
As a Team Leader at Conway House, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of high‑quality short breaks care for children and young people aged 8–18 with additional needs. You will take responsibility for coordinating and leading shifts, ensuring a safe, structured and supportive environment where children can thrive. Working within Children’s Homes Regulations and best practice standards, you will oversee care delivery, implement behaviour and support plans, manage incidents, and ensure that routines, activities and transitions run smoothly. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will support both operational delivery and staff performance, ensuring consistently high standards of care and safeguarding.

Requirements
experienced and confident practitioner with a background in supporting children or young people with SEND or complex needs
ideally within a residential or respite setting
strong leadership skills
ability to guide and support staff
maintaining a calm and organised approach during busy or challenging situations
solid understanding of safeguarding, behaviour support and child‑centred practice
ability to build positive relationships with children, families and professionals
flexible, resilient and committed to delivering high‑quality care
