Job Description:

We are looking for a confident and compassionate Night Team Leader to join a brand-new care home in Saffron Walden. You will provide hands-on leadership and support to the night care team, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, and person-centred care throughout the night. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role in a new, supportive environment and help shape the culture of the home.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading and supporting the night team to deliver high-quality care to residents
  • Ensuring the safe, effective, and person-centred delivery of care throughout the night
  • Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding appropriately to any incidents or changes in needs
  • Managing care plans, medication administration, and night-time care routines
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or concerns
  • Supporting team development through guidance, supervision, and coaching
  • Ensuring full compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience in a care setting, ideally managing care staff in either a care home or hospital setting
  • Proven experience managing care plans and medication administration
  • Level 2 in Health and Social Care (desirable) and either Level 3 or working towards Level 3
  • Ability to motivate and support a night team while leading by example
  • Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Calm, professional, and compassionate approach, with a focus on person-centred care
  • Flexibility to work full-time night shifts, including alternate weekends
