As the Team Lead of the Solution Design team, you will collaborate with stakeholders and customers in the air transport industry to deliver complex solutions for airlines. You will be responsible for overseeing technical pre-sales activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and providing expert guidance to customers whilst leading the day-to-day activities of a team of experts globally.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the team day-to-day organization, propose process improvements, ensure correct workload and empower Solution Design team members
Manage the pre-sales process for key flight applications, supporting client deployments and coordinating with global engineering and business development teams, with a strong focus on the EMEA region
Engage with clients to discuss complex flight applications and how they integrate with their ecosystem
Contribute to product development by relaying key client feedback and participating in brainstorming for new products or features
Shape product evolution by contributing to enterprise architecture processes for the SITA Aircraft Business Unit platform
Provide technical support for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, producing technical materials and coordinating with relevant teams
Lead discussions on multi-product solutions, ensuring all impacts are understood, road mapped, and committed by stakeholders
Develop and lead client workshops to fully enable the implementation of SITA Aircraft products
Foster partnerships with external suppliers and academic institutions within the industry
Maintain deep expertise in relevant technologies and industry solutions, while keeping a broad strategic view
Execute tasks in line with corporate and regional standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to technical specifications and KPIs
Requirements:
Experienced technical pre-sales professional with a proven background in the airline or aircraft industry
6+ years of experience in Airline IT/TechOps or related Air Transport Industry sectors (e.g., OEM)
Expertise in software and system design, including Cloud and Service-Oriented Architectures, with the ability to design distributed processing systems and manage potential side effects or degraded scenarios
Excellent communicator, able to understand customer needs while effectively engaging with technical and product teams
Entrepreneurial mindset, driven to identify and pursue opportunities while ensuring thorough analysis and capturing all details
Collaborative and innovative, thrives in brainstorming sessions and team problem-solving
Skilled in designing and implementing solutions using a wide variety of technologies among which such as: Cloud solutions, Data streaming (Kafka, MQ,…), APIs
Security & Compliance: Understanding of security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), SSL/TLS, OAuth, JWT, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
Nice to have:
Understanding of network protocols, load balancing, and firewall configurations. Experience in designing network solutions
Basic understanding of AI/ML models and their deployment could be a plus, particularly for innovative data processing or predictive analytics in the aviation industry
