Job Description

The FUSE (Foundational User Experience) team's mission is to empower our product teams by providing a unified, efficient, and high-quality front-end ecosystem. We do this by owning and evolving the core UI/UX infrastructure, including our design system and component libraries, to create a framework enabling rapid development. We're looking for a visionary Team Lead Software Engineer to join our growing team at Capital on Tap. This isn't your average front-end role; you'll be at the heart of empowering our entire engineering department, both internally and externally.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide mentorship, constructive feedback, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Motivate the team, remove blockers, and track performance to ensure accountability
  • Work closely with Product, QA, and Technical Leaders to align on strategy and execution
  • Shape product decisions alongside Product Managers and Designers
  • Ensure clear, open communication in remote, hybrid, and in-person settings
  • Establish and uphold coding standards and best practices
  • Identify and mitigate risks, addressing challenges proactively
  • Stay hands-on in software development, guiding engineers at a technical level
  • Work with Technical Leaders to ensure alignment on technical direction and innovation

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing and developing software engineers
  • Extensive commercial experience in TypeScript and React with a strong focus on modern web development OR Dart and Flutter
  • Experience building and maintaining design system components (tokens, UI libraries, accessibility standards)
  • Proficient in SQL and dedicated to maintaining high code quality through comprehensive unit and integration testing
  • Strong technical background in modern software development practices and scalable system architecture
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects, collaborating effectively with Product, QA, and other stakeholders

Nice to have

Experience with C# /.Net would be beneficial but is not a requirement
