Job Description

Adyen is evolving from a global payments leader into a full-stack financial technology platform. We are looking for a Team Lead to build and head our newly established Product Advisory team for North America. This team is the bridge between rigorous bank oversight and scalable product innovation. You will be the primary strategist for ensuring our financial products are built to the highest standards and for guiding those products through the OCC supervision process.

Job Responsibility

  • Establish the vision for the NA Product Advisory function, hiring and mentoring a team of specialists
  • Act as the primary advisor for the U.S. and Canadian product roadmap, ensuring all launches comply with banking laws and regulator expectations
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to architect features that meet federal standards
  • Work closely with the Regulatory team and local stakeholders to manage the 'Product' pillar of regulatory examinations
  • Monitor and interpret federal regulatory shifts
  • Provide executive-level briefings on the regulatory implications of new product features

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in regulatory legal, federal banking compliance, or product advisory
  • Deep background working within a federally chartered bank or a sophisticated fintech operating under direct federal oversight
  • Strategic problem solver applying a first-principles approach to regulation
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to translate dense legal and compliance jargon into clear, actionable technical requirements and high-level strategic advice
  • Command of U.S. federal banking laws and the OCC’s supervisory framework
  • Understanding of what it means to build products within a licensed federal branch or bank environment
  • Comfortable with speed over bureaucracy
  • Excited by the challenge of building a new advisory function from the ground up
