I’m currently looking for an Infrastructure Team Lead – an experienced DevOps/SRE engineer, preferably experienced with bare metal environents and skilled with Python, who can lead the team, scale systems, and make key technical decisions that balance immediate product impact with long-term architectural vision. We are moving towards having a 99.99% uptime, a GEO-distributed disaster recovery plan, and scaling our main storage. Adapty is a revenue OS for app businesses. We’re at the core of consumer app monetization. Developers use Adapty to integrate subscriptions fast, while marketing and growth teams build paywalls, analyze, predict revenue, and more. Today, we’re a team of ~200 people growing 3× year over year while operating profitably. More than 20,000 apps (primarily enterprise customers and app professionals) use Adapty to scale indie projects into full-time income streams or grow app portfolios to hundreds of millions in ARR. Job Responsibility:
Lead a distributed team as a "playing coach," setting the bar in delivery, uptime, and estimating
Progressively improve uptime metrics(MTBF, MTTR) through modern practices and approaches. Monitoring that alerts on symptoms rather than on outages
Design, build, and maintain infrastructure that enables Adapty scaling to support millions of concurrent users
Provide outstanding solutions and educate Adapty engineers on efficient and reliable delivery practices
Requirements:
8+ years of experience building engineering solutions with k8s, Python, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Kafka
Ability to program (structured and OOP) using one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Golang, C/C++ and JavaScript
Experience building from scratch or making key architectural decisions in heavily loaded SaaS systems
Proven track record of identifying and resolving bottlenecks, including production incidents
Critical thinking and a system-level mindset: balancing short-term goals with long-term vision, identifying root causes, and making thoughtful, collaborative decisions
