Job Description:

The Team Leader is owner of the FP&A process in NEC India Shared Service Centre (ISSC) and is responsible for Finance month close, team management, and first-class delivery of the FP&A services within the specified SLA to NEC SWS USA team. This role will work closely with all financial, operational & corporate functions within the organisation. He/she will also lead the new transitions across NEC SWS USA Business units.

Job Responsibility:

  • Owner of the FP&A process in NEC India Shared Service Centre (ISSC)
  • Responsible for Finance month close, team management, and first-class delivery of the FP&A services within the specified SLA to NEC SWS USA team
  • Work closely with all financial, operational & corporate functions within the organisation
  • Lead the new transitions across NEC SWS USA Business units
  • Closely track and own the periodic financial closing activities in NEC SWS USA Business to ensure the pre and post month close activities are delivered with accuracy on time
  • Review the P&L and Balance Sheet key account variances and take actions as necessary post discussion with the Business Partners
  • Review Balance Sheet recs and guide and support the team to keep open items within the threshold
  • Help in budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
  • Working in close cooperation with Finance controller for NEC SWS USA Business to finalise the numbers
  • Work with the Business partners on the 5-year MTP and Annual Budget process
  • Jointly work with the direct manager to plan and lead new entity transitions, identify new scope of work transition
  • Prepare the key metrics Dashboard and review with Leadership monthly/quarterly
  • Continuously identify and drive improvement and productivity actions within the team with focus on Quality
  • Meeting the team on regularly and provide constructive feedback to improve productivity
  • Conduct year-end appraisal review for the team
  • Strong stakeholder management skills coupled with excellent communication skills to deal with people of various backgrounds/working styles

Requirements:

  • Preferred qualified Accountant or MBA Finance from a reputed university
  • Finance Professional with minimum 9-12 years of relevant experience
  • FP&A Team management experience at captive SSC / BPO sector
  • Financial Planning & Analysis background
  • Very good accounting knowledge
  • Ability to engage at multiple level of leadership and stakeholders
  • Hands on working experience required in FP&A process
  • Good understanding of the periodic financial close process
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP Finance Modules
  • Experience in TM1 and peripheral systems is desired
  • Experience of managing a medium sized team
  • Customer focused approach with Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Demonstrable “can do” attitude with willingness to learn
  • Strong, performance-orientated person, able to function in a dynamic environment
  • A solid team player that has natural leadership skills
  • Ability to exert influence, with good cooperation and motivational skills
