Are you a strategic finance professional who thrives on being the bridge between technical data and operational excellence? Randstad is working with a public sector organisation in Ballarat that is seeking a Team Lead Financial Partnering to lead the finance business partnering function. Managing an organisational budget of over $100 million, you will play a high-visibility role in translating complex financial reporting into actionable insights. You will oversee a diverse portfolio ensuring the organisations financial strategy aligns with long-term operational goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide high-level advice to core Business teams regarding budget tracking, accounting updates, and variance analysis
  • Lead the finance business partnering team
  • Own the monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, assist in preparing board packs
  • Perform complex financial modelling to support executive decision-making

Requirements:

  • CA or CPA qualification is highly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and professional experience with large-scale ERP systems
  • Demonstrated experience in people leadership and the ability to cascade complex data into terminology that operational teams understand
  • Strong communication skills with experience managing relationships with Managers and Executive teams
  • Deep experience in financial business partnering, budget forecasting, and complex modelling
  • A proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and a desire to understand the why behind the numbers
