Job Description

You’ll play a hands-on role in supporting environmental compliance across site operations, helping ensure we meet permit conditions and regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and addressing environmental risks. Your work will directly contribute to safe, responsible operations and strong environmental stewardship. This is an onsite role at our mine operation, combining field-based monitoring and inspections with office-based reporting and coordination. You’ll work closely with Environmental, HSE, and operational teams in a safety-focused, collaborative environment, supporting both day-to-day compliance and longer-term environmental initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Support site compliance with environmental permits, approvals, and BC regulatory requirements
  • Assist with environmental audits, inspections, monitoring programs, and follow-up actions
  • Contribute to incident response, including spill preparedness and corrective action implementation
  • Support environmental data collection, record keeping, and regulatory reporting
  • Work with operations, HSE, and technical teams to embed environmental standards into daily activities
  • Assist with field sampling (surface water, groundwater, and environmental monitoring) and equipment upkeep
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of environmental management systems and procedures
  • Provide practical environmental guidance to site teams and contractors

Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Geology, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements in British Columbia
  • Ability to interpret permits, management plans, and environmental standards in a site context
  • Previous experience leading, coordinating, or supervising team members in an operational or technical environment is highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail with confidence managing data, reports, and documentation
  • Clear communicator who can work effectively with operational teams and stakeholders
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable balancing field-based work with administrative tasks
  • Commitment to safety, environmental protection, and continuous improvement
