Job Description

As a Team Lead Demand Planning you will shape and drive the company’s demand planning strategy across the full portfolio. You will lead and develop a team of demand planners, set clear priorities, and continuously evolve our demand planning framework to support accurate forecasting and proactive, data-driven decision-making. By translating performance trends and market dynamics into clear guidance for senior stakeholders, your work will directly impact forecast accuracy, inventory optimisation, operational efficiency and revenue performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and lead the demand forecasting process for Westwing’s Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) portfolio
  • Monitor and continuously optimise forecast accuracy KPIs (MAPE, Bias, Rolling Forecast Error)
  • Lead strategic demand planning initiatives, including business expansion and other high-impact, cross-functional priority projects
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations
  • Champion process innovation by implementing automation, analytical enhancements, and workflow improvements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four demand planners

Requirements

  • Degree in supply chain, business analytics, statistics, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain analytics, managing complex, multi-SKU portfolios across regions
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical and machine learning forecasting methods (e.g., multivariate regression, time-series modelling), with a strong command of metrics like MAPE and forecast bias
  • Excellent analytical and structured mindset
  • First proven leadership experience and a strong ownership mentality
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and assertiveness
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL

Nice to have

Experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI
