Job Description

Since 2004, we've had one clear goal: to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe. Today, more than 300,000 companies use Mollie to get paid, manage money and grow – with products designed to be simple, scalable, and dependable. With 950+ Mollies across 14+ locations, we care deeply about autonomy and craft. So we work in small teams, with real ownership, and we trust you to make the right decisions. We're building for the long term, so we provide the tools you need, processes you can rely on, and a balanced work environment to help you do work you're proud of. Your impact: Partnerships are at the core of how Mollie goes to market. The partners you manage directly enable new products, new markets, and better experiences for hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe. As Team Lead, Commercial Partnerships, you'll work hand-in-hand with Product, helping shape what we build and who we build it with. You'll lead a geographically distributed team of four, bringing together people leadership, strategic partner management, and hands-on commercial execution in a way that's rare to find in a single role. Mollie is actively launching and scaling new products, and this team is right at the centre of that - identifying the right partners, securing the right terms, and keeping momentum going. This is a role with real ownership and real visibility. As Team Lead Commercial Partnerships, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders, contribute to product expansion initiatives, and help build a partnerships function that's built to last.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing partnerships team of 4–5, with clear priorities, strong execution, and individual growth
  • Own and strengthen relationships with large, complex enterprise partners across international markets, including managing stakeholders, negotiations, and escalations with confidence
  • Drive product expansion by identifying, evaluating, and securing new partnerships needed for new business areas and product launches
  • Build strong commercial proposals, negotiation materials, and internal approval cases — with sharp analysis, clear business judgment, and attention to detail
  • Keep partnership opportunities and renewals moving efficiently, bringing the right deals to leadership for sign-off at the right time
  • Maintain team momentum and strategic continuity across key commercial priorities during a critical period of growth

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and developing team members
  • Proven experience managing large, complex enterprise customers or strategic partners, with strong stakeholder management in an international setting
  • A background in financial services, payments, or fintech — you understand the environment and can hit the ground running
  • Commercial negotiation experience, including preparing business cases, deal review materials, and approval documentation for senior sign-off
  • Strong analytical capability — comfortable working with net revenue projections, pricing models, volume forecasts, and commercial business cases

What we offer

  • 20 days working from abroad
  • Wellbeing Budget (€60 per month net)
  • Lifestyle and Health Support via OpenUp
  • 26 holiday days
  • Commute options (NS Business Card and bike lease plan)
  • Birthday off
  • WFH Equipment Budget (€400)
  • Hybrid working with WFH & Internet allowance (€60 a month)
  • Discounted Lunch
  • Health Insurance with ONVZ or €125 net towards own insurance
  • Annual Mollieverse event
