Job Description

Temporary Team Assistant role for a major sporting event in Kensington from 19th-29th March. A high-energy, active role supporting athletes, spectators, and event operations across various stations including registration, support zones, and sponsor areas.

Job Responsibility

  • Support athletes
  • Help spectators
  • Move between stations
  • Manage queues
  • Keep the event running smoothly
  • Check athletes in, issue bibs, wristbands, and timing chips
  • Manage flow, check tickets/ID, answer questions, keep timings on track
  • Collect timing chips after the race
  • Answer general questions with support from the event handbook
  • Scan tickets and issue wristbands
  • Provide water, manage space, encourage athletes
  • Distribute water on rotation throughout the day
  • Organise bags by race number for smooth collection
  • Support sponsor partner areas, assist athletes, keep spaces tidy
  • Assist with sales, stock management, and payments
  • Take orders, make simple coffees, process payments

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Energetic, confident, proactive approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Well-presented and enthusiastic
