Job Description

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants and Senior Teaching Assistants for SEN and SEMH schools across Croydon. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and learning difficulties.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide classroom support on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Support behaviour, communication, and emotional wellbeing
  • Encourage student participation and independence
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals
  • A patient, adaptable, and resilient attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine interest in SEN and SEMH education
  • Individuals who are proactive, reliable, and supportive
  • Must have the right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
  • Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
