Job Responsibility:
Intervention Delivery: Lead and manage bespoke 'catch-up' sessions in Literacy and Numeracy, specifically designed to accelerate progress for Key Stage 2 pupils
Assessment Tracking: Assist the class teacher in the systematic recording of pupil progress, ensuring data is accurate and ready for review by the leadership team
Specialist Support: Work alongside the inclusion team to deliver tailored support for pupils with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Environment Mastery: Take ownership of the classroom's physical and digital resources, ensuring they are prepared to the highest standard for every lesson
Behavioural Mentorship: Actively implement the school's positive reinforcement strategies to foster a calm, purposeful, and safe learning environment
Liaison: Maintain professional, confidential communication with parents and external specialists regarding pupil milestones and welfare
Requirements:
Possession of an NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent) is essential for this post
Verifiable experience of working within a primary setting where high academic standards and data-driven progress are prioritised
A strong grasp of the primary curriculum, with specific expertise in synthetic phonics and mental mathematics
Proficient in the use of classroom technology and educational software for tracking and reporting
Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undergo a full check through Randstad
