Are you a Level 2 or 3 qualified Teaching Assistant looking to leave a lasting impact on the Blackburn school community? We are looking for dedicated professionals to join our local team and support primary students through the remainder of the academic year, starting March 2026. This is a versatile role designed for those who thrive in a classroom environment. Job Responsibility:

Collaborate with children individually or in small groups to enhance their learning
Serve as a positive role model for both students and colleagues
Foster positive relationships with children and their families
Collaborate with fellow staff members, including specialists
Assist the class teacher in resource preparation and activity setup
Help prepare a lesson and tidy the classroom afterwards
Provide assistance with lesson plans
Support children across the curriculum
Give extra support to children with special needs
Help mark work
Report student progress
Help look after the children during school trips and activities
Look after children that are unwell
Attend meetings
Confidence in guiding individuals or small groups
A positive attitude and effective communication skills

Requirements:

Experience working with young people
Class management skills
Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
Able to engage with and motivate children
TA Qualified
