Job Description:

Teaching Assistant role supporting students with speech, communication and language needs in a mainstream secondary school. Opportunity for graduates considering careers in Speech and Language Therapy, Psychotherapy, Educational Psychology, or Clinical Psychology.

Job Responsibility:

Support students with Speech and Language, Communication, Social, Autism (Verbal and Non-Verbal) needs
Take part and lead specialist interventions in Lego Therapy, Speech and Language, Zones of Regulation
Work closely with specialist Teachers, Therapists & Psychologists
Support various students with wide-ranging needs 1-2-1 and in small groups, inside and outside of the classrooms

Requirements:

Graduate with 1st Class or 2:1 degree
Good A-Levels and GCSEs including English at GCSE
Previous experience supporting children, young people or adolescents (tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering or personal experience)
Genuine passion for supporting young people with barriers to learning
Inquisitive, warm and nurturing personality
Must be able to speak confidently and calmly
