This role will be an integral part of the school's support team, directly impacting the learning and development of students with additional needs.
Job Responsibility:
Provide support to students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting
Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
Support students with their learning, both individually and in groups
Implement and monitor individualised education programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for student support
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
Experience working with students with SEMH needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, empathetic, and have a positive attitude
GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Committed to supporting the learning and development of students with additional needs
