Job Description:

We are seeking dynamic and experienced Teaching Assistants to join a specialised SEMH school in Bristol. The role involves supporting students with SEMH needs in their academic and personal development, creating a positive learning environment, and collaborating with teaching staff and external professionals.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver targeted support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom
Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and deliver captivating and differentiated lessons
Assist in the development and implementation of Education Care Plans (ECPs) for students
Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment, championing emotional well-being and positive behaviour
Lead small group interventions to support students' social and emotional development
Contribute to the assessment and tracking of students' progress, offering feedback to teaching staff and parents
Work collaboratively with other professionals, including educational psychologists and external agencies

Requirements:

Relevant TA experience
Previous engagement with students with SEMH needs
A strong grasp of SEMH strategies and interventions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
