Job Description:

Are you passionate about helping children succeed and being part of a vibrant school community? At Oasis Academy Connaught, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive—and we’re looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and help make that happen. You’ll work closely with teachers to support individuals and small groups, particularly students with SEND needs or those for whom English is an additional language. Your role will be vital in creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Job Responsibility:

Adapt learning activities and resources to meet diverse needs
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and students
Support social and emotional wellbeing, encouraging independence and confidence
Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes
Be an active part of our school community—whether it’s educational visits, classroom displays, or extracurricular activities

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience supporting children with SEND or EAL
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Resilience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education and community
