They need staff who can hit the ground running and help students reach their full potential. We are looking for Teaching Assistants (TAs) who want to work locally. You'll be the bridge between the teacher and the students, making sure the classroom stays focused and productive.
Job Responsibility:
Working 1:1 or in small groups with students who need an extra boost in core subjects like English, Maths, or Science
Partnering with the Class Teacher to keep students engaged, focused, and on-task
Prepare learning materials and create a vibrant, positive classroom environment
Acting as a positive role model for students aged 11-16, helping them build confidence and resilience
Observing student performance and providing vital feedback to the teaching staff
Working closely with students to manage classroom behaviour and keep them focused on their goals
Requirements:
Previously worked in a school setting or have significant experience coaching/mentoring young people
The ability to pivot when a lesson plan changes or a student needs a different approach
Strong verbal and written skills
Secondary school life is fast-paced
