Job Responsibility

  • Provide essential classroom support, ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged during tasks
  • Run small-group phonic, reading, and mathematics workshops using structured toolkits
  • Work closely with specific children requiring 1:1 behavioural or learning support (SEND)
  • Help prepare interactive lesson materials, learning resources, and seasonal displays
  • Ensure a safe, supportive environment during outdoor play, lunch, and school assemblies
  • Support the class teacher with general administrative duties and student progress logging

Requirements

  • Prior experience supporting children, ideally in an educational, care, or coaching environment
  • Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics)
  • A patient, warm, and highly resilient personality capable of dealing with varied learning needs
  • An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to undergo a check)
  • Strong team player skills with a proactive 'can-do' approach to daily school life
