Job Description:

Teaching Assistant – Newhaven Primary School. We’re recruiting for a friendly and ambitious primary school in Newhaven with a strong focus on inclusion, hands-on learning and promoting independence. The school benefits from excellent SEN resources, committed leadership and a team who genuinely care about getting the very best out of every child. This role would suit someone confident supporting pupils with varied needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils with varied needs — from classroom learning to emotional regulation and small-group support
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo
  • Contribute to targeted interventions
  • Ensuring every child feels supported and understood

Requirements:

  • An enhanced DBS
  • Evidence of recent safeguarding training
  • Experience supporting SEN or primary-aged pupils
  • Patience, resilience and a warm, professional manner
