Job Description

New Line Learning Academy is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated Teaching Assistants to support pupils on the SEND register (including those with Education, Health and Care Plans), both within the classroom and through targeted intervention programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed and inclusive team dedicated to ensuring that all students achieve their full potential. Successful candidates will work closely with teachers, SEND staff and families to provide personalised support that enables pupils to access learning, develop independence and make excellent progress.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing effective in-class support for students with EHCPs
  • Delivering high-quality targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
  • Building positive relationships that promote student engagement, confidence and independence
  • Monitoring, recording and evaluating the impact of interventions on student outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SEND team to adapt support strategies and ensure students make sustained progress
  • Contributing to the review process for students with additional needs through accurate record-keeping and feedback

Requirements

  • Recent experience of working with children or young people of a relevant age
  • Experience of supporting learning within an educational or supported learning environment
  • Ability to use own initiative and work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative and solution-focused approach to supporting students with a range of needs
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
  • Passionate about making a positive difference to the lives and outcomes of young people
