Teaching assistant

• Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and senior staff to implement individualised education programmes (IEPs)
• Providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support to autistic pupils, helping them to acquire new skills and generalise learning across different environments
• Assisting in the collection of data and monitoring of pupil progress, which is central to our evidence-based, behavioural approach (using the CABAS model)
• Supporting the emotional, social, and functional development of pupils, ensuring their overall well-being and safety
• Helping to maintain a structured, calm, and positive learning environment

• A passion for working with autistic children and young people
• A resilient, patient, and highly motivated attitude, with a proactive approach to learning new skills and strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in a special educational needs (SEN) setting is desirable
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
