Job Responsibility:
Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and senior staff to implement individualised education programmes (IEPs)
Providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support to autistic pupils, helping them to acquire new skills and generalise learning across different environments
Assisting in the collection of data and monitoring of pupil progress, which is central to our evidence-based, behavioural approach (using the CABAS model)
Supporting the emotional, social, and functional development of pupils, ensuring their overall well-being and safety
Helping to maintain a structured, calm, and positive learning environment
Requirements:
A passion for working with autistic children and young people
A resilient, patient, and highly motivated attitude, with a proactive approach to learning new skills and strategies
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience in a special educational needs (SEN) setting is desirable
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
