Are you a calm, confident, and organised individual looking to make a genuine difference in young people's lives? We are seeking a suitably experienced Teaching Assistant to join a successful and friendly 11-16 comprehensive co-educational school in Horsham. Working as a vital part of the school's Inclusion Team, you will promote the learning and personal development of students across all subject areas. This rewarding role focuses primarily on supporting students experiencing a variety of learning, emotional, and behavioural difficulties to help them achieve their personal best.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide dedicated classroom support and work directly with specific students
  • Promote learning and personal development for all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Foster a positive, safe, and productive learning environment

Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade A-C (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working within a school environment or directly with young people
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build robust relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and on your own initiative
